Our boys' team are the Mini 7s champions of Meath. Emerging from three rounds of competition with 100 teams involved we are SO proud to announce that we are the winners! Well done to every single player who represented our school in Dunganny and thank you to our many supporters!

The Dream Team narrowly missed out on a place in the FAI Schools Leinster final today. In a fantastic display of skill and teamwork the boys took the silver medal at the North Leinster tournament. Well done boys! |
Our amazing senior boys' team have yet another title under their belt! They are the Meath 5 a side soccer champions and progress to the North Leinster Championship. We are running out of words to keep up with these achievements! Well done all!

Congratulations to Jack from 6th class who represented Meath today at the half time match in O'Moore Park, Portlaoise. Jack scored one of Meath's 3 goals and the icing on the cake was Meath's defeat of the Dubs!! Congratulations to all!

Mini 7s
Congratulations to the 20 boys and girls from fifth and sixth class who played in round one of the Mini 7s football competition on February 26th. Our girls came third in their group and the boys team won their group and progress to round 2. Hon the Ha!

FAI Schools

Congratulations to the children who represented St. Andrew's N.S. at the annual FAI 5 a side competition in Navan. Our junior teams both did very well, finishing 3rd in their preliminary groups. Our senior teams both progressed to the knockout stage. Our boys team went through and will compete in the Meath final, Our girls team narrowly missed qualification, coming second in the knockout competition. Congratulations to top scorers Keelan and Hannah and a very special well done to JP and Luke who subbed in and made their school soccer debut!

Féile Fichille

Congratulations to the 24 children from 4-6th classes who represented our school so brilliantly at the recent Féile Fichille Chess Day. Our Master’s teams placed 2nd and 5th respectively out of 11 teams and our Bud’s team placed 3rd out of 7 teams so we are very proud of their achievements. Our 1st Master’s team (The Ruthless Rooks) will now go forward onto the next round at Simonstown Gaels GAA Hall on Wednesday 2nd April. |

In history we are learning all about the Age of Exploration including why European nations wanted to explore the world and how colonisation had many negative impacts on indigenous populations.

Huge congratulations to all of our runners who competed in today's Cumann na mBunscol Cross Country championship. We had some phenomenal performances all round. A special congratulations to our Under 11 girls team who retained their county title and to Robyn (5th) who crossed the line in first place out of 112 athletes - what a fantastic achievement! We are so proud of you all.
In art we are building papier maché volcanoes. In geography we are learning about the parts of the volcano and about famous volcanoes around the world. In history we are learning about the destruction of Pompeii and in science we are learning about chemical reactions so we mixed an acid and a base and simulated volcanic eruptions!

The Scintillating Circle
We have been learning all about the properties of the circle. We have been using π to figure out the circumference and area of circles. We learned about artist Alma Thomas and her abstract circular art. We created artwork inspired by her style.
