SKIP HOP WORKSHOP
An article by Amy Gray - 4th class
In February 2012 a man all the way from England came to our school and he worked in a program called Skip Hop. The Skip Hop program is where they teach you lots of fun things you can do when you skip. He taught us how to use one rope between two people and he thought us how to double Dutch and lots of other great stuff. When he was teaching us we all had a bit of time to learn. When we got the hang of things he picked out some people from every class that were very good and wrote our names on a sheet of paper and told us that the people whose names were on the sheet of paper would be doing a show in front of the whole school. When the whole school was in the hall he called out the names that got picked out to be separated from everyone else. Then he called us to the centre of the hall to show what we had learnt. The last thing we saw was a game called the figure of 8. Then when we were finished the school day was over and to this day we all play what we had learnt and what we mostly play is the figure of 8.
