The Blue Star Programme

We have been learning all about the European Union. Today we had a referendum!! We voted on whether school holidays should be shorter and whether children should be required to play outside!

Blue Star Programme

We are working very hard to earn our Blue Star Award by learning all about Europe. This week we have been doing quizzes online with the help of our buddies in 5th and 6th. The quizzes are made up of questions all about the history. geography and organisation of the EU.

Spring Lambs

Thank you Helen and Farmer Stan for bringing a lamb to visit us in school.
We loved learning all about the lamb and the daily life of a farmer.

Creative Classrooms

Gabi came to visit us and spoke about all of the different ways we can express our creativity. Gabi introduced us to her sheep Séamus which she made herself from Irish wool. We are looking forward to trying out some creative projects such as baking, gardening and wool craft.

Gymnastics

We are enjoying gymnastics classes with Coolmine Gymnastics Club in January and February. We are learning lots of new skills every week! Check out some photos of us in action!

We loved working with our buddies to plant daffodils. We will sell our daffodils in March for Daffodil Day to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society.
