We have been learning all about the European Union. Today we had a referendum!! We voted on whether school holidays should be shorter and whether children should be required to play outside!

Numeracy & Literacy Stations
We are learning and having fun when we complete our Numeracy and Literacy stations. We love playing games together and getting the opportunity to read and spell words on the iPad.
Africa
We loved learning all about Africa. We researched African animals such as the lion and giraffe. We played with the Savannah and created African masks during Aistear. We also tasted a variety of African food such as pineapple, mango, avocado, cous cous and spiced chicken during our African Feast.
Hero in the Hallway

Congratulations to Junior Infant Theo who was awarded the Hero in the Hallway award! Winners of this award are nominated by their classmates or teacher for showing Hero qualities in our school, such as kindness, inclusiveness, supportiveness and leadership. Well done Theo! |
Creative Classrooms
Gabi came to visit us and spoke about all of the different ways we can express our creativity. Gabi introduced us to her sheep Séamus which she made herself from Irish wool. We are looking forward to trying out some creative projects such as baking, gardening and wool craft.
Gymnastics
We are enjoying gymnastics classes with Coolmine Gymnastics Club in January and February. We are learning lots of new skills every week! Check out some photos of us in action!

Daffodil Planting
We loved working with our buddies to plant daffodils. We will sell our daffodils in March for Daffodil Day to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society.

Drama with Suzanne
We are really enjoying our drama lessons with Suzanne. We are learning new poems and performing our own versions of fairytales such as The Three Bears and Jack and the Beanstalk.
Story Time
Ms.O’Connor brought us up to the library to read us a story. We loved spending time in our school library and really enjoyed listening to Ms. O’Connor’s story.
