In what can only be described as torrential rain and howling wind today our girls battled it out in the last 16 of the Mini 7s tournament in Kilcloon. We won one game and lost two and showed the utmost resolve and character in appalling conditions - but it was nothing a giant hot chocolate on the way home couldn't fix. Well done Robyn, Róisín, Kate, Emma, Juliette, Lillian, Maggie Jane, Isla, Lauren and Jude on representing our school so well and thanks also to our intrepid supporters Alisha, Avril and Katie who were definitely NOT fairweather fans!
Well done to the 20 boys and girls from 4th, 5th and 6th class who represented us today at Mini 7s Round One. Our boys came third in their group and our girls' team went undefeated and advance to the next round! Well done one and all!

We imagined how Michelangelo must have felt lying on his back painting the Sistine Chapel ceiling.
We tried painting in that position - it was not easy!
Heritage in Schools - Samhain
5th & 6th class took part in a Heritage in Schools workshop with Francesca Caddedu on Wednesday 5th of November. The workshop included a fascinating presentation on the origins of Samhain and the Irish archaeological heritage connected to it. Francesca then worked on a variety of crafts related to Samhain. A wonderful day exploring the ancient Celtic festival.
