In history we are learning all about the Age of Exploration including why European nations wanted to explore the world and how colonisation had many negative impacts on indigenous populations.

Huge congratulations to all of our runners who competed in today's Cumann na mBunscol Cross Country championship. We had some phenomenal performances all round. A special congratulations to our Under 11 girls team who retained their county title and to Robyn (5th) who crossed the line in first place out of 112 athletes - what a fantastic achievement! We are so proud of you all.
In art we are building papier maché volcanoes. In geography we are learning about the parts of the volcano and about famous volcanoes around the world. In history we are learning about the destruction of Pompeii and in science we are learning about chemical reactions so we mixed an acid and a base and simulated volcanic eruptions!

For Maths Week we are playing the card game Risk or Reward and learning all about the CHANCE of each card coming up!
The Scintillating Circle
We have been learning all about the properties of the circle. We have been using π to figure out the circumference and area of circles. We learned about artist Alma Thomas and her abstract circular art. We created artwork inspired by her style.
