Welcome to our New Junior Infants!
An article by Caoimhe Cassidy
5th Class

On the 1st September 2016 St Andrews welcomed a group of new junior infants.
For the first couple of weeks the boys and girls finished school at 12
o'clock while they were settling in, now they go home at 1.40 and enjoy and
extra break to play with their friends.

They are a very pleasant bunch of children and all get along very well.
Their teachers are Ms Gilligan & Ms Horgan. Many of the children have older
brothers and sisters in the school and are already very familiar with the
school routine.

The children enjoy many new activities, one of the favourites are bodhran
with Amy which they play on Wednesday. They enjoy PE on Tuesday & Thursday
with their teacher in the school hall. All the children enjoy playing games
together in the yard.

This week the children are excitedly planning their Halloween costumes for
Friday's annual holiday party. There will be fancy dress, games and lots of
goodies at the bake sale.
