Junior Infants, Senior Infants and First Class enjoyed a wonderful day out at Dublin Zoo! Some of the highlights were the African Plains, the Reptile House and of course playing together in the playground!

As part of our Blue Star programme, we celebrated Europe Day on the 9th of May. Junior Infants learned all about Italy and made pizza. We really enjoyed it.

Easter Egg Hunt 2022

We had a special visitor to St.Andrew’s National School today. The Easter Bunny left us each an Easter Egg. We had great fun looking for our Easter Eggs outside.

Gymnastics

We had so much fun during our gymnastics lesson. We can’t wait to learn more about gymnastics over the next few weeks.

Melted Snowmen

We were inspired by the snow last week. We made puffy paint during a Science lesson and then used our puffy paint in an Art lesson to create melted snowmen. We loved mixing our puffy paint and thought it was very fluffy. (Click to enlarge images)

Feast of the Epiphany

We celebrated the Feast of the Epiphany on the 6th of January. We walked over to St. Andrew's Church and looked at the crib. We noticed that the Three Wise Men had arrived and brought gifts for Jesus. Fr. Kevin  blessed our school and we said a special prayer.

Snowy the Elf

Snowy the Elf returned to St. Andrew's N.S. this week. He has already gotten up to plenty of mischief in our classrooms. We're all very excited to see him again!

Halloween in Junior Infants

Drama

We are really enjoying our drama lessons with Suzanne. We love learning new poems, dramatizing stories and visiting Suzanne's magic shop every Friday.

Nature Walk

We went on a nature walk up old Crickstown Lane. We had a great time exploring and collecting leaves. When we returned to school we used our leaves to create autumnal leaf rubbings.

Junior Infants have settled in really well and are having lots of fun together

Bodhrán

We love learning how to play the bodhrán with Aimee. We are making great progress and can now hold the bodhrán properly and play along to traditional music.
