JUNIOR INFANTS 2021

Fireman Visit

We have been learning all about the Emergency Services. On 10th of June, Fireman Pete came to visit us. He told us all about the fire station and fire truck. We asked some really interesting questions and looked at Fireman Pete's uniform, boots and helmet. Thank you Fireman Pete for telling us about your job.

Learning Outside

We love learning outside in the sunshine. We searched for tricky words in our yard and worked in pairs to complete a tricky word scavenger hunt. It was so much fun!

Puppets

We made puppets using old socks, fabric, feathers and googly eyes. We had great fun naming our puppets and performing shows for our class.

GAA

We welcomed our new Games Promotion Officer James Mitchell to our school today. We had great fun learning new football skills.

Earth Day

We celebrated Earth Day on the 22nd of April. We made a promise to recycle, to save water and to use less electricity. We also planted some vegetables. We are looking forward to watching them grow!

Our Spring Meadows

We learned about spring flowers this week. Our favourite spring flowers are daffodils, bluebells and snowdrops. We printed with pine cones, bubble wrap, daffodil stems and pom poms to create our spring meadows.

World Book Day 2021

Ms Cooke and Bill the Owl read the story 'Owl Babies' to us today! We went to the school library and read some books together. Teacher read the book 'Guess How Much I Love You In the Spring' to us.
