On the 4th of March, 5th and 6th classes received their Confirmation. The mass ceremony began at 11:00am. There were 23 children being confirmed: (5th class) Niamh Mc Loughlin, Mark Nolan, Megan Mc Cann, Alanah Webb, Valerie Reid, Gavin Mc Kane, Dara Mc Clean, Sean Keogh,Andrew Battersby, Mark Phelan, Nicole Mc Dermott, Amber Roche, (6th class)Roisin Fitzpatrick, Holly Higgins, Kate Gibney, Brian Joyce, Brian Eiffe, Aaron Joyce, James Gibney, Stephen Mooney, Donal Mc Lanron, Niall Murphy and myself, Ciara Keogh (I am in 5th class).
Every child took part in the mass whether it was reading, singing or bringing up a gift. The Bishop said the mass very well with the help of Fr Phil. The Choir sang beautifully, with the music directed by Ms. Hannah Horgan and our infant teacher Jane Mc Walter who played the flute beautifully. After the mass we got lovely pictures with the Bishop. We went into the hall where there were tea and sandwiches served. There was a table for each family, which was set up beautifully, along with the hall thanks to the Parents Association. The Bishop came into the hall with Fr Phil, and at the end, the Bishop gave out certificates to all the children who made their Confirmation. Then we went home.
It was a very great day, the mass went very well. The hall was beautiful, the church was amazing and everybody played their part very well!! A big Thank You to all the people who helped and supported the children!!
MÍLE BUIOCHAS!!
